All I knew was that I had to do everything exceptionally well. The pressure I felt to be perfect was INTENSE.

It caused me to feel tense when presenting and I used to beat myself up when things didn’t go well. I would overthink my decisions, sabotage the opportunities that came my way, and constantly cover up my feelings.

I went to great lengths to show that everything was ok, when it really wasn’t.

I was polishing things on the outside, yet crumbling on the inside.
